After twelve years of cybersecurity research dedicated to the maritime world, the Naval Systems Cyberdefense Chair is organizing a scientific day on Thursday, September 24, 2026 in Rennes.

The goal of this event is to present the Chair’s scientific achievements in the presence of many of its PhD holders, researchers, and industrial partners.

The Chair’s research addresses the many facets of securing modern maritime environments. These systems, described as complex systems of systems, are characterized by long life cycles, a growing convergence between information technologies (IT) and operational technologies (OT), and strong human interaction. The Chair adopts a comprehensive approach to cybersecurity, structured around four complementary areas: system and risk modeling, anomaly detection, cryptographic and software security, and the human factor.
