Advanced simulation platform for cyber security of maritime systems
As it is difficult, if not impossible, to obtain a boat for research and training purposes, researchers and engineers at the École Navale decided to reproduce the IT and OT infrastructure. This platform is a complete modular cybersecurity test-bed for experiments and training.
Key features
For the sake of realism and to avoid biases, our platform reproduces the computer network and operational system of a medium passenger ship, including :
4 operational loops (safety, auxiliary, electricity, mobility)
A wide range of Programmable Logic Controllers (Siemens, Schneider, Wago...)
Automatic Identification System (AIS)
Automatic Identification System (AIS)
GPS
NMEA
Radar
Voyage Data Recorder
ECS (Electronic Chart System)
About the platform
This equipment is the property of the École navale and is located on the same premises as the naval cybernetics chair. Researchers and doctoral students have access to a unique platform for experimentation: the naval cyber-range!
