Advanced simulation platform for cyber security of maritime systems

banner_chaire-cyber-naval
As it is difficult, if not impossible, to obtain a boat for research and training purposes, researchers and engineers at the École Navale decided to reproduce the IT and OT infrastructure. This platform is a complete modular cybersecurity test-bed for experiments and training.

Key features

For the sake of realism and to avoid biases, our platform reproduces the computer network and operational system of a medium passenger ship, including :

  • 4 operational loops (safety, auxiliary, electricity, mobility)

  • A wide range of Programmable Logic Controllers (Siemens, Schneider, Wago...) Automatic Identification System (AIS)

  • Automatic Identification System (AIS)

  • GPS

  • NMEA

  • Radar

  • Voyage Data Recorder

  • ECS (Electronic Chart System)
